Just wanted to send out some empowerment! As you leap into your purpose on this new day!
Of course you've always known it deep down. YES... you are an influencer!
You know you have a place in the world, you have a dominion that is yours, and no one else can fill that space.
But maybe you don't understand just how much. Sometimes we are not too sure that we can step into our place or stand out in any way.
We can be facing difficult circumstances which tend to faze us, and lead us into thoughts that we are not good enough. Consequently we don't become the outstanding person God has always intended us to be.
And that's the thing, He continues to see us as carriers of the many talents, skillsets, and...
Live on the edge! Do it scared!
Here in New Zealand we look out over a plot of land where sheep pasture. And now it's Spring! We see newborn lambs attempt and finally manage to get up onto their feet. It's a vulnerable time for them, but as they grow and develop (and that, quite quickly) they are leaping, jumping and gambolling in frenzied playfulness. The joy of Spring!
How I wish that would continue, but in reality it's rather short-lived. I guess they look around and watch their mothers grazing grass throughout the day. It seems like that's the thing to do, so they emulate her, following the one model they have.
As time goes by they can be seen stopping up in their all-encompassing grass-munching-lifestyle, and looking out into space for ages, as though to say. "Is this what it's all about? Is this all there is?"
I remember as a new Christian asking my husband-to-be the same thing about that new lifestyle I'd 'taken on'. There was something ...lacking...? ...
To become an online entrepreneur is more than a little challenging.
Suddenly one has to become visible to hordes of people, become known, accepted and trusted if there's any chance of succeeding.
Suddenly one must learn how to find a way around different platforms, without much idea of what to do, and much less any understanding of a rather unforgiving and foreign terminology.
Suddenly I'm aware that 'seasoned women' without previous experience really struggle to adjust.
I'm not exactly sure that this is understandable for today's generation but maybe you resonate?
It's become obvious to me that deep down I've always been an influencer. A rather strange thought really. Somehow though, something, somewhere had been allowed to take over that role. I allowed it. I've find myself floundering, and insecure even just simply sending out a post, or considering the prospect of a video, or worse, a webinar.
For those of you who do resonate with feelings of low self-esteem for...
Do you ever get feelings of hopelessness with thoughts like "Is this all there is?"
Many times it is the upheavals in life which are exactly what is needed to illuminate necessary change or transformation into our lives: the bumps and rough edges of the fast flowing waterfall, and not least the emotional upheavals.
It's often at times like this we discover the hidden possibilities (which are just around the corner) in our discomfort. The Chinese actually have the same word for opportunity and crisis. It's such a good way of looking at it because out of a crisis new opportunities often develop!
Of course it's a matter of mindset. We can remain stuck, or become unstuck, but the choice is ours. It's a question of how we see things. Are we ready to commit to change? ...
Who actually needs murky skies of a shaky identity?
I really want you to know that you are not alone. So many of us have feared what others think of us...(and all the other stuff ...)
But it's a while ago when this happened...
And it all had to do with a shift, yes, a shift in attitude.
It changed so much! Therefore I want to reignite hope in you, a hope that the murky skies will clear and the sun will rise in the distance!
You see, it's been simply amazing to personally discover the incredible miracle of a focus-switch (from me, my and myself) to a new walk, one which leads to a path of true deep immersion in the One of love. Incredibly I'm now wanting to celebrate others who are successfully managing to do what I am not accomplishing!
Self-preservation is no longer the name of the game!
I’d tended to build my self esteem on my attributes, others’ good words, being first, best,...
A DANCE OF EVOLVEMENT
A dance of growth
As time goes by we become gradually aware that we are actually moving through a stage of evolvement, unfolding, and opening up. In other words, a type of growth that produces an increase in stature and wisdom and additionally a gain in favour that is so incredible! Mostly people are fairly aware of this happening to them because it evolves gradually, little by little.
These people are simply continuing to walk out their lives with diligence and intentionalism. They aim for excellence, but are aware that attempts to attain perfectionism are pretty stressful, often leading to a debilitating hitting-of-a-brick-wall stuff in the long run.
Those growing and evolving dancers seem to carry a demeanour which is different to others around them. They usually put others before themselves and there is a type of dying, a dying to selfishness and a laying down of self preservation. Their highest claim to fame is to honour the Lord...
Do you know why you do what you do?
Sometimes it is so hard to understand just why our lives seem to be so flaky, shaky, and disconnected. Have you thought about the big 'why?'
What about the indecisive manner many of us sway back and forth like bamboo trees in the wind? One moment what is seen as the Truth dominates, and in the next puff of wind, out comes some watered-down version of real values and beliefs. Really shaky and flaky.
It seems we find it convenient to plant one foot firmly 'here' and the other 'way over there' allowing our opinions to fluctuate depending on the situation we find ourselves in.
Does that give us popularity, ...or rather a lack of credibility?
And what about the desire to shift the responsibility for something negative by placing it squarely at the feet of another person? We seem to have become a shame and blame generation. Maybe it has become too difficult in today's current climate to stand up and be accountable for...
Rejection is a very painful "irritant" for most of us.
Mr Google tells us that the formation of a pearl begins with an irritation -- a piece of sand, grit, or shell, which serves as an irritating parasite to the tender flesh of the oyster. In response, the oyster builds up layers of calcium carbonate around the alien element, gradually growing the pearl.Oct 2, 2011.
None of us like rejection. And somehow the experience of being excluded, passed by and/or rejected tends to build up within us layer upon layer ( just like calcium carbonate in the oyster shell.)
However It seems as though we often need to come through the irritant of life's inevitable grit and challenges to become who God intended us to be all along.
In Heb. 11:34 NIV) we are told about the faith overcomer-s and valiants "Whose weaknesses were turned to strengths...(they) became powerful in battle".
And with that awesome word it appears we do have a choice to overcome and become...
When we are tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind, our understanding becomes darkened, minds futile and alienated because of ignorance of heart, we become past feeling. (taken from Eph. 4.14-19 KJNV.)
A hopelessness invades.
Yes, the enemy has stolen what is rightfully ours, Adam and Eve traded in the Garden of Eden, and we are influenced in big and small ways. But..
..a much greater trade was made to restore God's people to all the resources taken from us in the Garden! (His Son!)
The painting is unfinished at this point of time, but is a forth-calling prophetic vision of restoration.
In Zechariah 9.12 we are told to:
Return to the stronghold ...
"Why am I here? What is my purpose, destiny and inheritance?"
I remember asking that question occasionally as a twenty-something year old (particularly following late nights of futility), and my good friend of many years would answer me "Oh don't get so intense/deep Robbie!" And so that thought or concern would be put aside, and forgotten...
...until the next time.
You know, when we don't know the reason for our existence, then emptiness, division and contradiction can easily develop.
And well, let's face it, it's pretty obvious that the enemy is continuing to steal what is rightfully ours, using any method possible to negate the true and real meaning to life.
Why have we allowed him to become our source of influence?
His intention is to bring us to a place where our normal lives become shallow and insignificant... a life of thinly veiled deceptiveness and lies.
